RESOLUTION NO. 7432
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING THE ASSESSMENT
DIAGRAM AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS FOR STREET
RESURFACING AND GUTTER CONSTRUCTION ON VARIOUS
CITY STREETS
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica, pursuant to Sectlon
5100 et seq. of the Streets and Hlghways Code, commenced
proceedlngs to resurface streets and lnstall gutters on:
23rd Street between Santa Monlca and Broadway, and
Schader Drlve between Cloverfield to west end.
And those commerclal, industrlal or manufacturing
portlons of:
P1CO Boulevard between Appian Way and 4th Streetj
Ocean Front from P1CO Boulevard to Bay Streetj
Lincoln Boulevard from Montana to San vicentej
19th Street between Wllshire Boulevard and Montana.
WHEREAS, the proceedlng is more fully descrlbed ln the
Resolution of Intent20n adopted by the Clty Councll on March 25,
1986, belng Resolutlon Number 7183 (CCS)~ and
WHEREAS, the contract for the above described work has
been fulfllled to the satisfactlon of the Superintendent of
StreetSj and
WHEREAS, the Superlntendent of Streets has made an
assessment to cover the sum due for the work performed and
specifled in the contract, and;
WHEREAS, the assessment has been flIed with the City
Clerk~ and
WHEREAs,4Ite C~ty Clerk gave the no~e required by
Section 5362 and 5363 of the Streets and H~ghways Code; and
WHEREAS, upon the day and hour fixed for hearing by the
City Clerk, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica heard
and passed upon any and all obJections, appeals, and protests,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That all obJections, appeals, and protests
of every kind and nature be and the same are, hereby overruled
and denied.
SECTION 2. That the diagram of property, affected and
benef1ted by the street resurfacing and gutter construction on:
23rd Street between Santa Monica and Broadway;
Schader Drive between Cloverfield to west end;
And those commercial, industrial or manufactur1ng
port~ons of:
P1CO Boulevard between Appian Way and 4th Street;
Ocean Front from Pico Boulevard to Bay Street;
Lincoln Boulevard from Montana to San Vicente;
19th Street between Wilshire Boulevard and Montana;
In the City of Santa Monica, as more fully described 1n
Resolution 7183 (CCS) and therein declared to be the property to
be assessed to pay the expense of the improvements, is approved
and the City Clerk 1S directed to execute the certificate on the
diagram certifYing such approval and to del1ver the d1agram to
the Superintendent of Streets.
SECTION 3. That the assessment for the street
resurfacing and gutter construction on:

And those commercIal, industrial or manufacturlng
portIons of:
P1CO Boulevard between Applan Way and 4th Street;
Ocean Front from P1CO Boulevard to Bay Street;
Llncoln Boulevard from Montana to San vicente;
19th Street between WIlshire Boulevard and Montana.
as more fully descrlbed In Resolution Number 7183 (CCS), be, and
the same hereby is, confirmed and approved.
SECTION 4. That the Superintendent of Streets shall
forthwIth attach a warrant to sald assessment bearlng the date of
this confIrmatIon.
SECTION 5. The assessment roll, warrant, and diagram
shall be recorded ln the Office of the Superintendent of Streets,
and ImmedIately thereafter the CIty Clerk shall file a copy of
the assessment dlagram In the Offlce of the County Recorder, and
thereafter shall record In said Offlce of the County Recorder a
Notlce of Assessment, all in the manner and form prescribed by
Sectlon 3114 of the Streets and HIghways Code of the State of
CalIfornia.
SECTION 6. That the City Clerk shall certlfy to the
adoptIon of thIS Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
