RESOLUTION NO. 7400(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF, THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE SIGNING OF
A CONTRACT FOR PROVIDING SERVICES FOR
ELDERLY PERSONS
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Senior
ci tizens Affairs has been awarded the funds for providing ser-
vices for the elderly under the alder Americans Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica wishes to apply for older
Americans Act funds for social services in order to administer
said services; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Santa Monica ap-
prove the subrni ttal of the proposal for Older Americans Act
funds; and
~f"rlEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Santa Honica
designate and authorize a representative to sign the contract for
Older Americans Act funds on behalf of the said city of Santa
Monica,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA 110NICA
DOES RESOL~E AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The City Council of the City of Santa Monica
approves the submittal of a proposal for Older Americans Act
funds.
SECTION 2.
The city Council of the City of Santa Monica
designates the City Manager or in his absence, the Assistant City
Manager as the authorized representative to sign the contract and
all documents necessary to accompany said contract, including all

amendments to said contract within the fiscal year.
SECTION 3. The city Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
