A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ORDER THE VACATION OF THE WALKWAY BETWEEN
CEDAR AND PEARL STREETS WEST OF 20TH STREET,
IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica hereby declares its intention to order the vacation of the
walkway starting at the northeast corner of Lot 2, Tract 12196,
proceeding along the easterly line of said Lot, thence along the
easterly line of Lot 3 of said tract, thence easterly 10 feet,
thence northerly along the westerly line of Lot 16, Block 46,
East Santa Monica Tract to POB, in the City of Santa Monica,
county of Los Angeles, State of california.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of
the above-mentioned area, reference is made to Drawing No. 4338
dated January 15, 1987, now on file in the office of the City
Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica, California.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica, in vacating the above-mentioned walkway, elects to
proceed under and in accordance with the provisions of the Public
streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law, Streets and
Highways Code section 8300 et seq.

SECTION 3. The hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. of the 24th
day of February, 1987, in the Council Chamber in the city Hall,
Santa Monica, california, be and the same hereby is fixed as the
time and place when and where all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the city
council and offer evidence in relation thereto.
SECTION 4. The Street Superintendent of the city of
Santa Monica hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street
Vacation to be posted as required by Streets and Highways Code
Section 8323.
SECTION 5. The city Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution of Intention and shall cause the same
to be published in accordance with Street and Highways Code
Section 8322.
SECTION 6. The city Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
