RESOLUTION NO. 7318(CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA REQUESTING LOS ANGELES COUNTY
PROVIDE ENFORCEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE PROVISIONS
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, The City of Santa Monica Municipal Code requires that
permi ts be obtained to discharge industrial waste into publ ic sewer and
other disposal systems;
WHEREAS, The City of Santa Monica has requested County of Los
Angeles Department of Public Works to provide industrial waste services as
presently provided in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager of the City of Santa Monica is
hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the county of Los Angeles
providing for enforcement of industrial waste provisions of the City of
Santa Monica Municipal Code.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thence fore and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect.
