A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA DECLARIKG ITS INTENTION TO AMEND
SECTION 1.8.7 OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Pursuant to Santa Mon~ca Mun~c~pal Code Section
9413, the C~ty Counc~l does hereby give notice of ~ts intention
to 1n1 tlate proceedings to amend SectJ.on 1.8.7 of the Land Use
Element of the General Plan.
SECTION 2.
The City Council d1rects the Planning Comrniss~on
to hold a public hearlng on the proposed amendment to reVlse the
si te review findings for the Spec1al Office Dlstrict to allow
satlsfaction of the proJect m1 tigat10n program through on- and
off-site parks or payment of in-lleu fees, as determlned by the
CJ. ty, and to delete current language requlring on-site parks
only. Further, the CJ.ty Councll d1rects the Planning Comm~ssion
to forward a recommendatJ.on to the City Council.

SECTIOK 3. The C~ty Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
th1S Resolut1on, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
