RESOLUTION NO. 7299(CCS)
(CITY COUNCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR
ANY PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION
OF ASSESSMENTS FOR PLANTING OF TREES ON
BROADWAY BETWEEN 4TH AND 17TH STREETS, ALL
WITHIN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Superlntendent of Streets will file a
report of work pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and
Hlghways Code of the State of California, relating to the
planting of trees on Broadway between 4th and 17th Streets, all
within the Clty of Santa Monica.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Sectlon 5870, et seq. of sald
Code, the Clty Councll does hereby order and declare that on the
13th day of October, 1986, in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall, lt will hear and pass upon any and all obJections or
protests to the report of work of the Superlntendent of Streets,
and the amount of the assessment assigned against the real
property descrlbed in said report.
SECTION 3. All protests or ObJections must be in
writlng and flIed wlth the Clty Clerk on or before the tlme set
for hearlng of protests and obJectlons.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail
notlces, in the manner and form prescribed by law, of the
adoptlon of thlS resolutlon to all persons owning real property

In the hereinbefore described assessment distrIct whose names and
addresses appear on the last equalIzed assessment roll for the
City taxes or as known to the CIty Clerk.
SECTION 5. That the CIty Clerk shall certify to the
adoptIon of this ReSOlution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be In full force and effect.
