RESOLUTION NO. 7290 (CCS)
(CITY COONCIL SERIES)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COONCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONICA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO
ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF THAT
CERTAIN ALLEY KNOwN AS WASHINGTON PLACE NORTH,
IN THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
The Clty Councll of the City of Santa
Monica hereby declares lts intentlon to order the vacation of all
of that portion of Washington Place North, 5 feet in width
extending Northeasterly, approximately 100 feet, as shown ln
Block 4 on Map of Tract number 1351, ln the Clty of Santa Monica,
County of Los Angeles, State of Callfornia, recorded in Book 8,
Page 116 of Maps in the office of the Recorder of sald County.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation of
the herelnbefore mentioned area, reference lS made respectlvely
to Drawlng No. 4329, dated August 14, 1986, now on file ln the
office of the Clty Clerk in the City Hall, Santa Monica,
California.
SECTION 2.
The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica, in vacating the above mentloned portion of Washlngton
Place Nor th elects to proceed under and ln accordance Wl th the
proviSions of the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law, Streets and Highways Code Sectlon 8300 et. seq.
SECTION 3. The hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. of the 23rd
day of September, 1986, ln the Council Chamber in the City Hall,

Santa Mon1ca, Cal1fonr1a, be and the same hereby 1S fixed as the
time and place when and where all persons 1nterested in or
obj ect1ng to the proposed vacat10n may appear before the City
Counc1l and offer eV1dence in relation thereto.
SECTION 4.
The Street Super 1ntendent of the C1 ty of
Santa Mon~ca hereby is directed to cause Notices of Street
Vacat10n to be posted as required by Streets and Highways Code
Sect~on 8323.
SECTION 5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thIS Resolut1on of IntentIon and shall cause the same
to be 1n publ1shed in accordance w1th Street and H1ghways Code
Sect10n 8322.
SECTION 6.
The C1ty Clerk shall certify to the
adopt1on of this resolutIon and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
