A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA TRANSMITTING THE LAND USE PLAN OF
THE SANTA MONICA LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM TO
THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION
WHEREAS, in September, 1985, the City staff subrnltted a
draft Land Use Plan to the Plannlng Comm1sslon; and
WHEREAS, on October 21, 1985, the Plannlng Commisslon
held a public hear1ng on the Land Use Plan, and approved it with
certain modifications; and
WHEREAS, on May 6, 1986, the C1ty Council held a publlC
hear1ng on the Land Use Plan, and adopted it with certain
modlficatlons; now, therefore:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Publ1C Resources Code Sectlon
30510, the City Councll cert1fles that the adopted Land Use Plan
of the Local Coastal Program, attached hereto, 15 intended to be
carr1ed out in a manner fully 1n conformlty with appllcable law,
and that lt contalns, 1n accordance with gUldellnes establlshed
by the Coastal Commisslon, mater lals sufflClent for a thorough
and complete review.

SECTION 2. The City CouncIl does hereby authorize the
transmIttal of the adopted Land Use Plan to the California
Coastal Commission for ItS consideration.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoptIon of thIS resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
