A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING ITS BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1992-93
WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the fiscal year 1992-93
was submitted to the Clty Councll thirty-five (35) days prior to
July I, 1992; and
WHEREAS, the city Councll held a public hearlng on sald
budget after a notice of sald budget hearlng was published not
less than ten (10) days prlor thereto; and
l'JHEREAS, after sald publlC hearing, the Cl ty Councll
consldered further its proposed budget,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the budget for the fiscal year 1992-93,
as submltted by the city Manager and revlsed by the city Council,
WhlCh budget lS entltled "city of Santa Monica, Proposed Budget,
1992-9311, a copy of whlch budget is attached hereto, is hereby
approved and adopted.
In adoptlng said budget, the city council
lntends to, and by thlS Sectlon does, adopt and approve the total
operatlng
appropriatlon
for
each
departmental
and
non-departmental operating budget, consisting of Salaries and
Wages,
Supplles
and
Expenses,
and
Capltal
Outlay
maJor

expendlture categorles, each program category of the Capital
Improvements Budget, and the revenue detall, and does authorize
the Clty Manager to allot by maJor expenditure category as
approprlated.
SECTION
2 .
That ln adopting sald budget, the city
Councll does hereby reapproprlate the unencumbered balances and
unexpended encumbrances of the 1991-92 Capltal Improvements
Budget in an amount not to exceed $16,965,520 from the General
Fund ItGanned" reserve for continuing capital proJects, the Mall
Certlflcates of Participatlon reserve,
the Llbrary General
Obllgatlon Bond reserve, and deferred revenue accounts derlved
from various ml tlgatlon fees, and not to exceed the following
amounts from the 1991-92 Capital IMprovements Budget unencumbered
balances and unexpended encumbrances for the followlng respective
funds:

SECTION 3.
That the budgets of the Housing Authorlty,
Redevelopment Agency, and Parking Authority have been reviewed by
the Clty Council and are hereby approved and adopted.
SECTION
4.
That a certlfled copy of sald budget be
flIed with the Dlrector of FinancejClty Controller and with the
city Clerk and certlfied caples of said budget be reproduced and
made avallable for use as dlrected by Sectlon 1505 of the Charter
of said Clty.
SECTION
5.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of thls Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
