RESOLUTION NO. 8411 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING THE ASSESSr'1HH DIAGRAM AND CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT
OF COSTS FOR STREET RESURFACING ON PICO BOULEVARD FROM
TWENTIETH STREET TO TWEN1Y EIGHTH SlREEl COMPLETED WITH THE
1990-91 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM
WHEREAS. the C1ty of Santa Monlea, pursuant to Seetlon 5100
et ~. of the Streets and H1ghways Code, c01Jlmenced proceedlngs to
resurface Plea Boulevard from Twentleth Street to Twenty Elghth
Stl~eet; and
WHEREAS, the proceed1ng 1S more fully descrlbed ln the
Resolut10n of Intentlon adopted by (lty (ouncll on May 28, 1991. belng
Resolutlon Number 8229 (CCS); and
WHEREAS. the contract for the above-descrlbed work has been
fulfllled to the sat1sfactlon of the Super1ntendent of Streets: and
WHEREAS. the Supenntendent of Streets has made an
assessment to cover sum due for the \tmrk performed and speclfled ln
the contract; and
WHEREAS, the assessment has been flled wlth the C1ty Clerk,
and
WHEREAS, the C1ty Clerk gave the notlce requlred by
Sect10ns 5362 and 5363 of the Streets and Hlghways Code: and
~mEREAS, upon the day and hour f1 xed for hean ng by the
C1ty Clerk, the C1ty Councll of the Clty of Santa HOnlca heard and
passed any and all obJect1ons. appeals, and protests.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 All obJectlOns. appeals, and protests of every
klnd and nature be to the conflrmatlon of assessment of costs, and the
same are hereby, overruled and denled.
SECTION 2. The dlagram of property, affected and beneflted
by street resurfaclng on:
Pleo Boulevard - from Twentieth Street to Twenty Elghth Street
In the Clty of Santa ~10nlea, as more fully desenbed ln Resolut1on
Number 8229 (CCS) and there1n declared to be the property to be
assessed to pay the expense of the lmprovements. 1S approved and the
Clty Clerk 15 dlreeted to execute the certlflcate on the dlagram
cet~tlfYlng such approval and to dellver the dlagram to the
Superlntendent of Streets.
SECTION 3. The assessment for resurfaelng Plea Boul evard
from Twentleth Street to Twenty Elghth Street as more fully deserlbed
