A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
APPROVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT(CDBG) FUNDING FOR
FY1992-93 AND AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF CDBG STATEMENT OF
OBJECTIVES FOR 1992-93
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monlca desires to undertake a
Two Year Community Development Program for fiscal year 1991-92
and 1992-93 to meet the community development needs of City
residents; and
\'lHEREAS, the Two Year Community Development Program for
1991-92 and 1992-93 was adopted on May 28, 1991; and
WHEREAS, ln addition the Cauncll has approved the CDBG
statement of Communlty Development Ob]ectlves and Projected Use
of Funds for FY1992-93; and
WHEREAS, public hearings have been held to recelve comments
on communl ty development and houslng needs and on the Two Year
Community Development Program and CDBG statement of Objectives
and projected Use of Funds for 1991-92 and 1992-93; and
WHEREAS, the proposed CDBG Statement of Objectives and
Projected Use of Funds contalns recammendatlons for speciflc
Communi ty and Nelghborhood Improvement proj ects and Community
Service Projects approved by the Clty Council

implementation of the 1992-93 program,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
The city Councll of the Clty of Santa Monica
approves the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for
FY1992-93 on flle wlth the Clty Clerk.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, as official representatlve, is
further authorized to submit to the Unlted states Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD) the flnal Statement of
Community Development ObJectives and Projected Use of Funds, all
understandings
and
assurances
contained
therein,
and
any
additional lnformatlon as may be required.
SECTION 3. All City Councll approved CDBG-funded proJects
shall be lncluded ln the 1992-93 Clty Budget.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same
shall be ln full force and effect.

PROPOSED STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS
The fOllowing describes the proposed use of CDBG Entitlement
funds planned for Fiscal Year 1992-93.
Of these expenditures,
100% 1S being used for activities which meet the national
obJective of primarily benefitting low and moderate-income
persons.
