RESOLUTION NO.
8406(CCS)
A RESOLGTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBHITTAL OF A PROPOSAL AND THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR
PROVIDING SERVICES FOR ELDERLY PERSONS
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Department of Communlty and
Senlor cltizens Services has been awarded the funds for provlding
serVlces for the elderly under the Older Americans Act; and
WHEREAS, the Clty of Santa Monica wishes to apply for Older
Americans Act funds for soclal services, ln order to administer
said serVlces; and
WHEREAS, it 1S necessary that the Clty of Santa Monica approve
the submittal of a proposal for Older Americans Act fundsi and
WHEREAS, lt is necessary that the Clty af Santa Monica
designate and autharlze a representatlve to sign the contract for
Older Amerlcans Act funds on behalf of the sald Clty of Santa
Monlca,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Clty Cauncll approves the submittal of a proposal
for Older Amerlcans Act funds;
SECTION 2. The Clty Caunell deslgnates the Clty Manager or, In
hlS or her absence, the Asslstant city Manager as the authorized
representatlve to sign the contract and all documents necessary
to accompany said contract, includlng all amendments to sald
contract wlthln the fiscal year.
SECTION 3.
The tIly Clerk shall certify to 4Ite adoptlon of thlS
Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.
