RESOLUTION NO. 8392 ( CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 26, 1992, TO HEAR ANY
PROTESTS OR OBJECTIONS TO THE CONFIRMATION OF ASSESSMENT OF
COSTS FOR STREET RESURF AC I NG ON PI CO BOULEVARD IN
CONJUNCTION WITH 1990-91 STREET RESURFACING PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1 The Super1ntendent of Streets w1ll f1le a report of work
pursuant to Section 5882 of the Streets and Hl ghways Code of the State of
Callfornla, relatlng to the street resurfac1ng completed on PICO BOULEVARD from
Twentleth Street to Twenty Eighth Street.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to Sect10n 5870 et seq. of sa1d Code, the City
Counc1l does hereby order and declare that on the 26th of May, 1992. at 7:30
p m., ln the Clty Councll Chambers of C1ty Hall located at 1685 Maln Street,
1t wlll hear and pass upon the report by the Super1ntendent of Streets. of the
cost of street resurfaclng together wlth any obJectlons or protests, lf any,
Wh1Ch may be ra1sed by any property owner llable to be assessed for the cost of
such lmprovements and any other lnterested persons.
SECTION 3. All protests or obJectlons must be In wr1tlng and f1led
wlth the Clty Clerk on or before the t1me set for the hearlng of the protests
and object lOns.
SECTION 4_ The SuperIntendent of Streets 15 hereby d1rected to mail
notices, 1n the manner and form prescrlbed by law, of the cost of lmprovements
and of the adoptlOn of th1S Resolutlon to all persons oWOlng commerc1al or
1ndustr1al real property 1n the herelnbefore described assessment distr1ct

whose names and addresses appear on the last equallzed assessment roll for the
C1ty taxes or as known to the C1ty Clerk.
SECTION 5. The C1ty Clerk 1S dlrected to pub11sh th1s Resolution 1n
The Outlook on two succeSS1ve dates. The flrst pub11catlon 1S to be made not
less than flfteen days prlor to the date of the above publlC hearlng.
SECTION 6. The C1ty Clerk shall certlfy to the adoption of thlS
Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter, the same shall be 1n full force and
effect.
