A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE OFFICIAL DISTRICTING MAP
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact
Repo~t was issued in April, 1990: and
WHEREAS, a Notice of COiilpletion of a Draft Environmental
Impact Repo~t as published in January, 19911 in compliance with
the California Environmer.tal Quality Act ar.d the City of Santa
Monica CEQA Guidellnes: and
WHEREAS, in April, 1991, the Final Environmental Impact
Report was published: and
WHEREAS,
on October 23,
1991 the Planning commission
revlewed the Flnal Envl.ronmental Impact Report,
WHEREAS, subseq:J.ent to Planning Commission revie\v, an EIR
Addendum T....as prepared to assess the
impacts of changes
incorporated into the Offlclal Districting Hap as a result of
adoption of the Local Coastal Plan as well as changes to the
Redistricting Map reco~mended by the Plannl.r.g Commission; and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1991, the city Council, as the lead
agency, reviewed the Final Environmental Impact Report and
Addendum,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION~. The city Council has reviewed and considered the
Final Environmental Impact Report and Addendum on the Of~lcial
Districting Map prior to acting on the project.
SECTION
2.
The
city
Counc1.l
certifies
that
the
environmental review for the project was conducted in full
compliance with state and City CEQA Guidelines, that there was
adequate public review of the Draft Environmental Impact Report,
that it has considered all comments on the Draft Environmental
Impact Report and responses to comments,
that the Final
Environmental Impact Report and Addendum adequately discuss all
significant environmental issues, and that the city council has
considered the contents of t~e Final Env1ronmental Impact Repor~
and Addendum in its decision-making process.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolutlon, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
