O1928 Council Meeting November 24, 1998 Santa MOnica, California ORDINANCE NUMBER 1928 (CCS) (City Council Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DELETING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF PREFERENTIAL PARKING ZONES WHEREAS, the City of Santa MOnica has changed the process for designating preferential parking zones, and, WHEREAS, preferential parking zones can now be designated by resolution, and, WHEREAS, It IS appropriate to delete eXisting sections of the Santa MOnica MUnicipal Code designating preferential parking zones and re-desglnate the zones by resolution, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS SECTION 1 Sections 308 120, 308 130, 308 140, 308 150, 308 160, 308170, 308 180, 308190, 308200, 308210, 308220, 308230, 308240, 3 08250, 308260, 3 08270, 308280, 3 08290, 3 08 300, 308310, 308320, 3 08 330, 3 08 340, 3 08 350, 3 08 360, 3 08 370, 3 08 380, 3 08 390, 3 08 400, 3 08410, 3 08 420, 3 08 430, 3 08440, 3 08 450, 3 08 460, 3 08 470, 3 08480, 308490, 308500, 308510, 308520 and 308540 of the Santa MOnica MUnicipal Code are deleted SECTION 2 Any proVISion of the Santa MOnica MUnicipal Code or appendices thereto mconslstent With the provIsions of this Ordinance, to the extent of such Inconsistencies and no further, are hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary to affect the provIsions of this Ordinance SECTION 3 If any section, subsectIon, sentence, clause, or phrase of this Ordinance IS for any reason held to be mvalld or unconstitutional by a decIsIon of any court of any competent jUriSdiction, such decIsion shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordmance The City Council hereby declares that It would 3 have passed this Ordmance, and each and every section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase not declared invalid or unconstitutional Without regard to whether any portion of the Ordinance would be subsequently declared mvalld or unconstitutional SECTION 4 The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the passage of this Ordmance The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once m the official newspaper WIthin 15 days after Its adoption This Ordinance shall become effective after 30 days from Its adoption APPROVED AS TO FORM fJta{AJ~tJL MARSHA Jorgs MOUTRIE City Attorney 4 4rt/~ Robert Holbrook, Mayor State of CalIfornIa ) COlll1ty of Los Angeles) 5S City of Santa MOlllca ) I, Mana M Stewart.
