AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTION 3393F OF AND ADDING
SECTION 3393G TO THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO PARKING METER ZONES F AND G
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 3393F of the Santa Monica Municipal
Code is amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3393F.
parking Meter Zone
"F."
(1) All parking lots owned or
operated by the city of Santa Monica,
excepting those parking lots owned by the
Parking Authority of the city of Santa
Monica
and
excepting
those
parking
structures included in the area bounded by
wilshire
Boulevard,
Fourth
street,
Broadway,
and
Second
Street,
shall
constitute Zone "F."
(2)
Parking
a
vehicle
in a
designated space in Zone "F" shall be
lawful for 60 minutes upon the deposit of

25 cents in coin, and for an additional 60
minutes for each 25 cents in coin
deposited thereafter.
(3)
Parking
meters
shall
be
operated in Zone "F" at such times as
posted
by
the
Parking
and Traffic
Engineer.
SECTION 2.
section 3 3 9 3G is added to the Santa Monica
Municipal Code to read as follows:
SECTION 3 393G.
Parking Meter Zone
"G. II
(1) All parking structures owned or
operated by the city of Santa Monica
located in the area bounded by Wilshire
Boulevard, Fourth street, Broadway, and
Second street, shall constitute Zone "G."
(2)
Parking
a
vehicle
in
a
designated space in Zone "G" shall be
lawful for 60 minutes upon the deposit of
25 cents in coin, and for an additional 60
minutes for each 25 cents in coin
deposited thereafter.
(3)
Parking
meters
shall
be
operated in Zone "Gn at such times as
posted
by
the
Parking
and Traffic
Engineer.

SECTION 3.
Any provision of the Santa Monica Municipal
Code or appendices thereto inconsistent with the provisions of
this Ordinance, to the extent of such inconsistencies and no
further, are hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary
to affect the provisions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid
or unconstitutional by a decision of any court of any competent
jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council hereby
declares that it would have passed this ordinance, and each and
every section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase not
declared invalid or unconstitutional without regard to whether
any portion of the Ordinance would be subsequently declared
invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 5. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this Ordinance. The city Clerk shall
cause the same to be published once in the official newspaper
within 15 days after its adoption. This Ordinance shall become
effective after 30 days from its adoption.
