AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTION 3238b
OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE TO
REVI SE THE PERH IT FEES FOR
PREFERENTIAL PARKING ZONE B
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Sect10n 3238b of the Santa Monl.ca Muni c ipa 1
Code is amended to read as follows:
Section 3238b.
Preferential
Parking Zone B.
(a) The
following
named
and
descr1bed streets or portions of streets
wl.thl.n the City shall constl.tute
Preferential Parking Zone B:
Fraser,
Hart, and Wadsworth Avenues between
Barnard Way and NeiJson Way and the north
s1de of Ocean Park Boulevaro between
Barnard Way and Neilson Way.
(b) No vehlcle shall be parked or
stopped adjacent to any curb 1n
Preferent1al Parking Zone B without a
perml.t l.ssued and displayed in accordance

w1th th1s Chapter. Any vehicle parked or
stopped WI. thout a perml. t may be removed
from the street by any police officer.
(c) The annual fee for each perPl1t
issued for Preferential Parking Zone B
shall be S15.00 per permit or such other
fee as may be established from tlme to
t1me by resolut1on of the City Council.
SECTION 2. Any provls1on of the Santa Monica Munlcipal
Code or appendices thereto incons1stent with the provlslons of
this ordinance, to the extent of such l.nconsistencies and no
further, are hereby repealed or modifl.ed to that extent necessary
to affect the prov1sions of this ordlnance.
SECTION 3.
If any section, subsect1on, sentence, clause,
or phrase of this ordinance l.S for any reason held to be 1nvalid
or unconstltutl.onal by a decision of any court of any competent
jurlsdI.ction, such decislon shall not affect the validity aT tne
rema1ning portlons of the orchnance. The City Counc i 1 he reby
declares that lt would have passed this ordinance and each and
every seetlon, subsectlon, sentence, clause or phrase not
declared invalld or unconstltutlonal wlthout regard to whether
any portlon of the ordinance would be subsequently declared
1nvalld or unconst1tut1onal.
SECTION 4. The Mayor shall Slgn and the City Clerk shall
at test to the pas sage of thlS ord1nance. The City Clerk shall
cause the same to be published once in the off1c1al newspaper
