AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADDING
SECTION 9120D OF THE SANTA MONICA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
MI-A SPECIAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT REGULATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 9120D is added to the Santa Monica
Munlcipal Code to read as follows:
Sec t Ion
9120D.
"Ml-A" Special
Industr1al Dlstrlct Regulations. The
uses permitted, the property development
standards, and the uses proh1bited in the
"MI-A" Special Industrial Dlstr1ct shall
be the same as the uses perm1tted, the
property development standards, and the
uses prohIb1ted in the "MI" Limited
Industrial
Dlstrict
except
that no
building or structure shall have a height
of greater than th1rty-Sl.x (36) feet and
that not less than ten percent (IO%) of
any bUIlding slte shall be devoted to
landscaping.

SECTION 2.
Any provis1on of the Santa Monica Municipal
Code or append1ces thereto l.nCOnsistent Wl.th the provlslons of
thIS ordInance, to the extent of such Incons1stencies and no
further, are hereby repealed or modIf1ed to that extent necessary
to affect the provisions of this ord1nance.
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
or phrase of thlS ord1nance IS for any reason held to be inval1d
or unconst1tut1onal by a decIsIon of any court of any competent
JuriSdiction, such decision shall not affect the valId1ty of the
remalnlng portlons of the ordl.nance. The Clty CouncIl hereby
declares that it would have passed th1S ordinance and each and
every
sectlon, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase not
declared invalid or unconstltut1onal wIthout regard to whether
any port1on of the ord1nance would be subsequently declared
Invalid or unconstitutIonal.
SECTION 4. The Mayor shall sign and the C1ty Clerk shall
attest to the passage of this ordInance. ThiS City Clerk shall
cause the same to be pUblIshed once In the official newspaper
with1n 15 days after its adoptlon.
The ordinance shall become
effective after 30 days from its adoption.
