Santa Monica, Californla ORDINANCE NO...1174 (City Councll Serles) AN ORDINANCE OF ".,IRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA rfQ1\1ICA N1El'iJ'DING THE 1979 NEWSRACK ORDI~ANCR TO ENLARGE ~HE ARF.A OF ZONE A WHEREAS, Ordinance 1131 established speclal requirements for newsracks located in a zone coverlng Wilshire Boulevard and Fifth and Slxth Streets from Santa ~1:onlca Boulevard to Wl1shire Boulevard, known as Zone A~ and WHEREAS, It is desirable to enlar~e the area known as Zone A to ada Fourth street from Wilshire Boulevard to Colorado Avenue, Santa Monica ~all, Santa Monica Place, arid that portlon of Llncoln Boulevard between Broadway and the Santa Monica Freeway. THE CITY COUNCIL OF 't'HE CI'T'Y OF' SANTA HONI(:A DOES HEREBY O:9..Dl\TN: SECTION 1. Ordinance 1131 (CCS) 1S hereby amended to replace the map of Zone A with the Ma9 attached hereto, enlarging Zone A to add Fourth Street from Wilshire Boulevard to Colorado Avenue, Santa Monlca ~all, Santa ~1onica Place, and that portlon of Lincoln Boulevard between Broadway and the Santa Monlca Freeway. SECTION 2. Any provislon of the Santa Monica ~unlciDal Code or appendices thereto inconsistent therewith, to the extent of such lnconsistencies and no further, are hereby repealed or mod~fled to that extent necessary to effect the provlsion of th~s ordinance. , . . SECTION 3. If any sectlon, subsectlon, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to be lnvalid or unconstitutlonal by a declsion of any court of any competent Jurisdiction, such decislon shall not affect the validlty of the remaining portions of the ordinance. The City Councl1 hereby declares that it would have passed thlS ordinance and each and every section, subsectlon, sentence, clause or phrase not declared invalld or unconstltutlonal without regard to whether any portlon of the ordinance would be subsequently declared lnvalld or unconstitutlonal. SECTION 4. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk shall attest to the passage of thlS ordlnance. The Clty Clerk shall cause the same to be published once ln the officlal newspaper wlthln fifteen (IS) days after its adoption.
