AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTION 3393A
OF ARTICLE III, CHAPTER 3A OF THE SANTA
MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING METERS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN:
SECTION I. Section 3393A(2) is hereby amended and as
amended shall read:
SECTION 3393A PARKING METER ZONE "A"
(2) Park~ng a vehlcle in a designated space in
Zone "An shall be lawful for 60 minutes upon
the deposit of 25 cents in co~n, and for an
additlonal 60 m~nutes for each 25 cents in
coin depos1ted thereafter.
SECTION 2.
Any provis~on of the Santa Monica Munlclpal
Code or appendices thereto inconsistent therewith, to the
extent of such incons~stencies and no further, are hereby
repealed or modified to that extent necessary to affect the
provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. If any section, subsection, sentence,
clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a decision
of any court of any competent jurisdiction, such decision
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of tbe ord1nance. The City Council hereby declares that
it would have passed this ordinance and each and every
section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase not
declared lnvalld or unconstltutional without regard

to whether any portion of the ordinance would be subsequently
declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk
shall attest to the passage of this ordinance. The City
Clerk shall casue the same to be published once in the
bff~cial newspaper within f~fteen (IS) days after ltS
adoption. The ord1nance shall become effective after
th1rty (30) days from its adoption.
