AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTIONS 9151, 9204, 9308E,
9511 AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 9620 OF THE SANTA
MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO FEES FOR
CERTAIN PROCEDURES IN CONNECTION WITH THE LAND
USE, RESIDENTIAL BUILDING RECORDS, SUBDIVISION,
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW AND LANDMARKS AND HISTORIC
DISTRICT ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 9151 of Chapter 1, Art1cle IX
of the Santa Mon~ca Mun1cipal Code 1S hereby amended to read as
follows:
Sect10n 9151. Fees. Before accept1ng for f1l~ng
any appl1cation, or appeal hereinafter mentioned, the Adminlstrator
shall charge and collect the followlng fees:
AdJustments: For each appllcation for an adjustment,
a fee of flfty dollars ($50.00).
Appeals. For each appeal to the Councilor Comm1SSlon from
any actlon, a fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00).
~hange of District. For each application for a change of
distrlct boundarles, a fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00).
_~hange of Yard on Dl~tricting Map. For each application for
change of yard on the Districting Map, a fee of one hundred dol-
lars ($100.00).
Use Permit: For each applicatlon for a use permit, a fee
of two hundred and twenty-five dollars ($225.00).
Cond~tional Use Permlt: For each appllcat~on for a condition-
al use permit, a fee of three hundred dollars ($300.00).
Varlances: For each applicatlon for a var~ance, a fee of
two hundred and twenty-five dollars ($225.00).
SECTION 2.
Sect10n 9204 of Chapter 2, Art1cle IX
of the Santa Monica Mun1c~pal Code 18 hereby amended to read as
follows:

Section 9204. Appllcatlon. Upon appllcation of
the owner or hls authorlzed agent and the payment to the City
of a fee of Ten and no/lOOth Dollars ($lO.OO}, the Dlrector of
Plannlng shall review pertinent City records and deliver to the
appllcant a report of residential bUllding records which shall
contaln the followlng informatlon lnsofar as it lS avallable:
a. The street address and legal descriptlon of
subject property;
b. The zone classificatlon and authorlzed use as set
forth in thlS code;
c. The occupancy as lndlcated and established by permlts
of record:
d. Varlances, condit lanaI use permlts, exceptions, and
other pertinent leglslative acts of record; and
e. Any special restrict10ns In use or development WhlCh
may apply to the subject property.
SECTION 3. Section 930BE of Chapter 3, Article IX
of the Santa Monica Munlclpal Code lS hereby amended to read as
follows:
Sectlon 9308E. Fees. Upon filing of a tentat1ve
map with the Clty Plannlng Commission the appllcant shall pay a
fee as follows:
A fee of three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the first seven
hundred (700} feetof frontage or fraction thereof along both sldes
of any and all streets shown wlth1n the subdivision. Upon filing
of a final tract map wlth the Clty Planning Department the
appllcant shall pay a fee as follows: a fee of one hundred and
twenty-f1ve dollars ($125) for each of the lots, dlvls1ons,
dwelllng unlts, condomlnlum unlts, community apartments, coopera-
tive apartments or similar separable designations lncluded w~th-
~n the subd~vlslons.
SECTION 4. Sect10n 9511 of Chapter 5, Article IX of
the Santa Monica Munlcpal Code 1S hereby amended by the addition
of a new seetlon 95ll(e) to read as follows:

Section 9511{c) Fees. For each application
for review subm~tte~ to the Architectural Review Board the
Planning Director Shall charge and collect a fee of twenty-
five ~ollars ($25).
SECTION 5.
Chapter 6, Article IX of the Santa Monica
Municipal Code is-hereby amended by the addition of a new section
9620 to read as f611ows:
Section 9620 Fees. For each application in
connection with the procedures covered ~n this chapter, the
Director of Planning shall charge and collect the following
fees:
Landmark Desi9nation~ One Hundred Dollars ($100)
Historical District Designation: Five Hundred DOllars
($500)
Certificate of Al?propriateness-: One Hundred Dollars
($.lOD)
Environmental and F~scal Impact _RepO~t: For-processing
each environmental or fiscal impac~ ~eport, a
fee of Four Hundred Dol~ars C$-40"O) for each
One Million Dollars of estimated value of the
poroJect, w1th':'a minimum fee of Five HUndr~d
Dollars ($500)

SECTION B.
The Mayor shall sign and the City Clerk

shall become effective after thirty (30) days from, its adoption.
