ORDA.IN- AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. _~at Section 3352B ~s hereby added
to the ~~nta Moni~a Municip~l Code and shall read as
fOllows:
Section 3J52B. SKATEBOARDS PROHIBITED
IN PUBLIC PARKING STRUCTURES. No person

shall operate, ride or propel himself
or herself by means of a skateboard
over or upon any portion of any publlC
-parking structure located in the C1ty

of Santa Monlca, lncludlng but not limited
to those owned by the C1ty of Santa Monlca
and the Park~ng Authorlty ot the City
of Santa Monica.

SECTION 2. Sect10n 3352A of the Santa Mon1ca
Munic1pal Code lS hereby amended and shall read as follows:

SECTION 3. Any provislons of the Santa Monlca
Munlclpal Code, or appendlces thereto lnconslstent herewlth,
to the extent of such inconsistencies and no fur~her, are
hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary to
effect the provlsions of thlS ordlnance.
SECTION 4. If any section, subsectlon, sentence,
clause or phrase of thlS ord~nance lS for any reason held to
be invalld or unconstitut~onal by a decislon of any court
of competent Jurisdiction, such decislon shall not affect
the validity of the remaining portions of the ordinance.
The Clty Council hereby declares that it would have passed
this ordinance and each and every section, subsection,
sentence, clause or phrase not declared lnvalld or
unconstitutlonal without regard to whetb~r any portion of

the ordtpance would be subsequently declared invalld or
unconstltutional.
SECTION 5.' The Mayor shall sign and the Clty Clerk
shall at~est to the passage ~f thls- ordinance. The Clty
Clerk shall cause the same to be publlshed once in the
offlclal newspaper within flfteen (IS) days after its
adoptlon. The ordlnance shall become 'effective after
