AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF TnE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING
SECTION 10101 OF THE ~A MONICA
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO'LANDING
AND TAKE-OFF OPERATIONS AT THE
SAN~ MONICA MilllICIPAL AIRPORT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY -oP SANTA MONICA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Section 10101 of the Santa Monica
Municipal Code lS hereby amended and shall read as follows:
Section 1010I. HOURS. The airport
shall be open for public use at all
reasonable hours of the day and nlght,
subject to such restrictions as are
proVlded herein or are due to 1nclement
weather, the conditions of the landing
area, the presentat10n of special events,
and llke causes as may be determined by
the -Airport Directo~!/. -~NiJJht~ landings
will be permitted, but night take-offs_
or eng1ne start-ups.are prohib1ted
between the hours of 11:OO olclock p.m.
and 6:00 o'clock a.m., Monday through
Friday and 11:00 o'clock p.m. and
7:00 o'clock a.m. on Saturday and
Sunday. The AirpOrt Oirector or in

his absence the-Watch Commander of

SECTION 2.
Any provisions of the Santa Monica

to the extent of such lncons~stencies anPcUp further, are
hereby repealed or modifl~d to that'exte~ ne7~ssary to'
effect the provlsions of this ordinance.

SECTION 3.
If any sect~on, sUbsecii~, sentence,

clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by a deci5~on of any court of
competent JuriSdiction, such decision shall not affect the
validlty'of the remaining portions of-the ~rdinance. The

SECTION 4.
The Mayor shall sign and the Clty
Clerk shall attest to the passage of this ordlnance. The
City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the
official newspaper within fifteen (l5) days after its adoptlon.
The ordinance shall become effective after thi~ty (30) days
