ORDINANCE 110. 1073 (City Council Series) AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COVNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING SECTIONS 7l12A, 7112a, 7112C AND SECTION 7402 OF TaE SAN~ MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING DRIVEWAYS FROM PUBLIC STREETS ONTO PRIVATE PROPERTY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN~A MONICA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 7l12A of the Santa Mon~ca Municipal Code is .pereby amended and shall re~d as follows: " Sec.:tion 711ZA. The total width of Concrete wings and driveway at the point where the drlVeway crosses the property line shall be the same as the width of concrete w~ngs and driveway at the curb. The rninlmum width of the driveway shall be 12 fe~t. The maximum width shall be 35 feet. The length of 'C the vertical taper in the curb shall vary with the curb height at the driveway location and shall conform to the dimensions shown in the table below. The Parking and Traffic Englneer Shall not approve a driveway or driveways to serve any lot zoned for single ramily resident~al use under the provisions of Chapter l, Article IX of this Code. which would exceed in total width 28% of the frontage of sa~d lot on the street from which access is to be obtained, except that on any lot a.single driveway not ta exceed 14 feet in width shall be permitted regardless of the amount'of street frontage of Sd1d lot. The driveway width as specified above shall be measured between the bottoms of the ~rti~l taper in the curbs and shall be the-same at the point where the driveway crOSses the sidewalk. ~he minimum width of the driveway shall be 10.0 feet.
