AN ORDINA.J.'lCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADDING
SECTION lOlOSA2 TO THE SANTA MONICA
MillJICIPAL CODE, PROHIBITING HELICOPTER
FLIGHT TRAINING OPERATIONS AT THE
SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Sectlon 10105A2 is hereby added to
the Santa Monica Munlclpal Code and shall read as follows:
Sectlon lOlOSA2. HELICOPTER FLIGHT

TRAINING PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful
for any person to conduct or partlcipate
ln, or ald or assist any other person in,
helicopter pattern fl~ght training
operatlons of any kind or nature at the
Santa Monica Munic~pal Airport at any time.
Helicopter pattern fllght tra~ning shall be

and lS str~ctly prohibited at all tlmes at
the Santa Monlca Munlclpal Alrport.
SECTION 2.
Any provislons of the Santa Monlca
Municlpal Code, or appendices thereto ~nconsistent herewlth,
to the extent of such inconsistencies and no further, are
hereby repealed or modifled to that extent necessary to effect

the provisions of this ordlnance.
SECTION 3.
If any sectlon, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase of th1S ordinance lS for any reason held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by a decision of any court of
competent )urisdlctlon, such declslon shall not affect the
validlty of the remalnlng portions of the ordinance. The
City Councll hereby declares that It would have passed this
ordinance and each and every sectlon, subsectlon, sentence,
clause or phrase not declared invalid or unconstitutional
wlthout regard to whether any portlon of the ordinance would
be subsequently declared lnvalld or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4.
The Mayor shall Slgn and the City
Clerk shall attest to the passage of thlS ordlnance. The
City Clerk shall cause the same to be publlshed once in the
official newspaper within flfteen (lS) days after its adoptlon.
The ordlnance shall become effect1ve after thlrty (30) days
from ltS adoptlon.
