AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ADDING SECTION
6122A TO THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL
CODE, PERTAINING TO FINGERPRINT FEES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
In addition to the fees required
by Sectlon 6122, the Clty Council may establish~ by resolutlon,
a fee for the fingerprinting of applicants for police permits
required by any provlsion of thlS Code, or for any person
desirlng to use the fingerprlnting servlces of the Police
Department, WhlCh services mayor may not lnclude processlng
of said fingerprlnts. The City Councll may reVlew the fee
so established annually.
SECTION 2.
Any provisions of the Santa Monlca
Municipal Code, or appendlces thereto inconslstent herewith,
to the extent of such inconsistencies and no further, are
hereby repealed or modifled to that extent necessary to effect
the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 3.
If any sectlon, subsectlon, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to
be invalld or unconstitutlonal by a decisl0n of any court of
competent jurlsdlction, such declsion shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of the ordinance. The Clty
Councll hereby declares that lt would have passed thlS ordinance
and each and every section, subsectlon, sentence, clause or
phrase not declared invalid or unconstitutional without regard
to whether any portion of the ordlnance would be subsequently
declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4.
The Mayor shall sign and the Clty

Clerk shall attest to the passage of this ordinance. The
City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the
official newspaper wlthln flfteen (15) days after its adoption.
The ordinance shall become effectlve after thirty (30) days
from ltS adoptlon.
