AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAl~TA MONICA AMENDING
SECTIONS 9l20Al A~D 9146A3 OF THE
SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL CODE, PERTAIN-
ING TO HOTEL fu~D MOTEL USES IN THE
Ml LIMITED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
Sect~on 9l20Al of the Santa Monica
Munic~pal Code 15 hereby amended and shall read as follows:
1. All uses permitted ~n the
Commercial D~strlcts except retail
stores dealing ~n or offer~ng for sale
mens or womens wearing apparel, cosmetics
or beauty suppl~es, packaged food or
grocer~es, home furniture or furnishings,
res~dent~al uses, hotels and motels,
board~ng houses, hosp~tals, san~tariums,
convalescent and nurs~ng homes. Prov~ded,
however, that a manufacturer shall be
permitted to make reta~l sales of his
product In connectlon w~th and on the
same prem1ses as his manufactur~ng
operat~on. Provided, further, that the
Zon~ng Adm1n1strator may grant a use
perm~t for hosp~tals, hotels and motels
ln accordance w~th Sect~ons 9l46B, 9l46C,
and 9146D.
SECTION 2.
Section 9146A3 of the Santa Monlca
Munlcipal Code is hereby amended and shall read as follows:

The ord~nance shall become effect~ve after thirty (30) days
