AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING
THE DISTRICTING MAP WHICH IS A PART
OF CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE 9, SECTION
9103 OF THE SANTA MONICA MUNICIPAL
CODE REGARDING CERTAIN LOTS ON
PACIFIC STREET AND FOURTEENTH STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the distrieting map wh~eh is
attached to and made a part of Chapter 1, Art~ele 9, Seetlon
9103 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code is hereby amended as
follows:
"Lots 6, a, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and
24 of Tract 9446, commonly known as
1402 through 1518 Pacif~c Street and
2201 through 2205 Fourteenth Street,
which property is now designated R2
multiple residential distr~ct ~s
hereby changed to Rl one family district."
SECTION 2.
The City Councll f~nds that a public
hearing was held before the Plann~ng Commlssion of the City of
Santa Monica on February 28, 1977, and that the Planning
Commission has recommended such change of Zone to the City
CounCll.
SECTION 3.
The Clty Council finds and determines
that the publlC necessity, convenience, general welfare and
good 20nlng practice require that the amendments set forth ln
Section 1 be made.
SECTION 4.
Any provlsions of the Santa Monlca
Mun~cipal COde, or appendices thereto ~nconsistent hereWith,
to the extent of such incons~stencies and no further, are
hereby repealed or modlfled to that extent necessary to effect
the provisions of thlS ordinance.

SECTION 5.
If any sect~on, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance is for ~any reason held to
be inval~d or unconstitutional by a dec~sion of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such decis~on shall not affect the
validity of the rema~ning portions of the ordin~n~~: . The
Clty Council hereby declares that ~t would have passed th~s
ord~nance and each and every section, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase not declared ~nval~d or unconstitutional
w~thout regard to whether any port~on of the ord~nance would
be subsequently declared ~nvalld or unconstitutional.
SECTION 6.
The Mayor shall sign and the City
Clerk shall attest to the passage of this ordlnance. The
Clty Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the
officlal newspaper wlthlng fifteen (15) days after its adoption.
The ordinance shall become effective after thrlty (30) days from
ltS adoption.
