Before a Site Plan ReV1ew approval is 1ssued for'any proposed
development, construction, modification or exterior alteration
of any structUre .lOcated in the "S" District, the. City Plann.ing
Commission or CityCouneil upon appeal O~ review sha11 eind

1. The physical location, size and place-
ment of proposed structures complemen~~ -is' eiJmpat.ible- wii:h
and rela~es harmoni~Usly to other structures within the site
and to abutting or surrounding properties and/orriqhts-of~way~

SECTION 9.
Any provisions of the Santa Monica
Municipal Code, or appendices thereto inconsistent herewith,
to the extent of such incons~stencies and no furtber; 'are '
hereby repealed or modified to that extent necessary to effect
the provisions of this ordinance.

SECTION 10",
If any section, subsection~ sentence,
clause or phrase of this ord~nance ~s for any reason h~ld to
be invalid or unconstitut~onal by a decision of any court of
competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of ~he ordinance. The
City Counail hereby declares that it would have passed this
ordinance and each and every section, subsec~ion, sentence,

without regard to whether any portion of the ord~nance would
be subsequently declared 1nvalid or unconst1tut1onal.
SECTION 11.
The mayor shall 81gn and the C1ty Clerk
shall attest to the passage of this ord1nance. The C1ty Clerk
shall cause the same to be published once 1n the offic1al news-
paper within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. The ord1nance
shall become effective after thirty (30) days from 1ts adoption.
