AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AMENDING SECTION l0209A OF THE
SANTA MONICA MUNCIPAL CODE
PERTAINING TO MOORING FEES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Sect~on l0209A of the Santa Mon~ca
Munlcipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sectionl0209A. Mooring Fees. City-owned
Moor~ngs. A mooring fee shall be paid for the prlv~lege of
ty~ng orotherwise securing any vessel to any mooring owned
and ma~ntained by the City. The fee therefore shall be in
accordance with any schedule provlded for in any ordlnance
or resolutlon of the City.
Noth~ng here~n contained shall preclude
the Harbor Master from designating certain Clty-owned moorings
as Guest-~oorings, and perm~ss~on may be given by him to make
fast to such moorlngs without a charge being made therefore.
SECTION 2. Any provislons of the Santa Monica
Mun~clpal Code, or appendlces thereto inconslstent herewlth,
to the extent of such inconslstencles and no further, are hereby
repealed or modified to that extent necessary to effect the
provisions or this ordinance.
SECTION 3. If any sectlon, subsectlon, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held to
be lnvalld or unconstltutional by a decislon of any court of
competent jurlsdictlon, such decis~on shall not affect the
validity of the rema1ning portlons of the ordinance. The City
Council hereby declares that it would have Dassed this ordlnance

SECTION 4. The Mayor shall slgn and the City Clerk
shall attest to the passage of thlS ordinance. The Clty Clerk
shall cause the same to be publlshed once ln the offlcial news-
paper within fifteen (15) days after ltS adoptlon. The ordlnance
shall become effective after thlrty (30) days from lts adoption.
