AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AMID~DING THE DISTRICTING ~~P WHICH
IS A PART OF CHAPTER 1, ARTICLE IX,
SECTION 9103 OF THE SANTA MO~ICA
MUNICIPAL CODE, REGARDING PORTIONS
OF LOT 16, BLOCK 33, EAST SANTA
NON I CA TRACT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That the distrlcting map WhlCh lS
attached to and made a part of Chapter 1, Artlc1e IX, ~9l03
of the Santa Monica Municlpal Code is hereby amended as
follows:
The Easterly 50' of Lot 16, Block 33, East
Santa Monlca Tract, more cOmNon1y known as 813-815 Hlll Street.
City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of
Callfornla, Whlch 15 now deslgnated C4 Commercla1 Dlstrlct
lS hereby changed to R2 Multlple Residential District.
SECTION 2.
The Clty Councll flnds and deterffilnes
that the publlC necessity, convenlence, general welfare and
good zon1ng practlce requlre that the amendment in Sectlon 1
be made.
SECTION 3.
Any prOV1S1ons of the Santa Monlca
Munlclpal Code, or appendlces thereto inconslstent herewith,
to the extent of such inconsistencies and no further, are
hereby repealed or modlfied to that extent necessary to
effect the prOV1Slons of thlS ordinance.

SECTION 4.
If any seetlon, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordlnance is for any reason held to
be lnvalld or unconstitutlonal by a declsion of any court of
competent ]urisdlctlon, such declsion shall not affect the
validlty of the remalnlng portlons of the ordinance. The
Clty Councll hereby declares that lt would have passed this
ordinance and each and every sectlon, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase not declared 1nvalld or unconstitutional
without regard to whether any portion of the ordlnance would
be subsequently declared lnvalid or unconstltutional.
SECTION 5.
The Mayor shall slgn and the Clty
Clerk shall attest to the passage of thlS ordlnance. The
C1ty Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in the
offlClal newspaper wlthln flfteen (15) days after its
adoption. The ordinance shall become effeetlve after thirty
(30) days from lts adoptlon.
