SEC~ION 1. ~here is hereby ~re2ted, in the C!ty o~
Santa hor-iea, 2 Housir.g ~ommission.

pursuant to Section 34291 of the Health and Sa~ety Code of the
State of California and Section lCOO of the Santa ~onica City
C~n2rt er .
SECTION 2. The Housing COMxission shall consist of
seven (7) Members to be appointed by the :ity Ccuncil.
SECTION 3.

irrespective of the fact that anyone or more sections, sub-
sectio~s, sentences, clauses or phrases be declared i~valid or
unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. ThisordinanCB_is declared to be an~emer-
gency measure ado~ted pursuant to the previsions of Section
515 of the 3ant~ ~c~ica City :har~er and is necessary ~Gr pre-
serVing the public peace, health and safe~y. The adoution of
this Qrdinance is a matter of urgency in order to perBit the
continued functioning of the forBer commissioners of the Housing

SECTION 5. The City Clerk Kill certify to the passage
and adoption of this oYdina~ce and shall cause the sallie to be
p~blished once in the o~fici21 ne~spaper withi~ fifteen (15) days
after its ado~tion. ~his o~dinanc~ shal~ beco~e ef~ective ~~cn
i~s adoptio~ ~ursuant to Sectio~ 629 Gf the City Charter.
