A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING THE
AVAILABILITY OF MATCHING FUNDS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPLY FOR AND EXECUTE DOCUMENTS FOR A
$202,000 GRANT FROM THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION DIVISION
OF AERONAUTICS AID TO AIRPORTS
PROGRAM FOR A NOISE MONITORING SYSTEM
AT SANTA MONICA AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission through
the State Department of Transportation, Division of Aeronautics,
has awarded Santa Monica Municipal Airport a grant of $202,000
for noise monitoring in the 1988 State Transportation Improvement
Program (STIP); and
WHEREAS, receipt of the grant funding requires certification
of the availability of local matChing funds and execution of
various documents related to the grant,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l.
The City Council certifies that it has
appropriated local matching funds for a grant of $202,000 from
the California Aid to Airports Program Acquisi tion and
Development Funds and hereby authorizes the City Manager to apply
for and execute all necessary documents associated with this
grant.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
