RESOLUTION NO. 6056

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA ALLOCATING $60,000 FROM THE PARKING METER FUND
FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF PARKING METERS IN ZONE A
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica has increased
the parking meter rates in Zone A from ten cents to twenty five cents per
hour; and
WHEREAS, the increase of parking meter rates will require converting
all the parking meters in Zone A at a cost of $60,000; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 33928 states that
revenues collected from parking meters may be used to convert parking meters.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council authori ze the expenditure of
$60,000 from the Parking Meter Fund to convert all the parking meters in
Zone A from ten cents to twenty five cents per hour.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
effect.
