A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CO~mNDING
FRED M. JUDSON FOR HIS DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, FRED M. JUDSON was first elected to serve
on the City Council of the City of Santa Monica in 1955 and
served for a four year term; and,
WHEREAS, FRED M. JUDSON was again elected to the
City Council of the City of Santa Monica in 1973 and has
served for a four year term; and,
WHEREAS, FRED 11. JUDSON is retiring from the City
Council of the City of Santa Monica; and,
WHEREAS, FRED M. JUDSON has been the Hinister of
the Trinity Baptist Church in Santa Monica and has been
President of the Santa Monica - westside Council of Churches;
and,
WHEREAS, FRED M. JUDSON has contributed to this City
as a Board 11ember of the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce; as
a Board Member of Santa Monica Family Service; and, as a
B02rd Member of the Boy Scout Executive Committee, and as a
member of numerous other civic organizations; and
WHEREAS, FRED M. JUDSON has devoted himself, his
time, and his energies to these worthy causes and to the City
of Santa Monica and has set aside his own personal business
to participate in such distinguished community service.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Santa Monica does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1.
FRED M. JUDSON has glven unselfishly
of himself and of his time, and he is hereby commended for his
SECTION 2.
The City Council of the City of Santa
Monica, on behalf of itself and on behalf of the citizens of
this community, expresses its profound appreciation to FRED
M. JUDSON for his many contributions to the City of Santa
Monica and to its government.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk is directed to send
a certified copy of this resolution to FRED M. JUDSON.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
