A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA REPEALING RESOLUTION NUMBER 6161 (CCS)
RELATING TO THE RATE OF REIMBURSEMENT FOR EMPLOYEE USE OF
PERSONAL CAR FOR CITY BUSINESS
WHEREAS, on December 10, 1980, the City Council adopted Resolution
Number 6161 (CCS) establishing the rate of reimbursement for employee use of
personal vehicles for City business; and
WHEREAS, the rate established by that resolution has long since become
obsolete; and
WHEREAS, in recent years mileage reimbursement rates have been adjusted to
reflect changes in vehicle operation costs and maintenance by the issuance of
Administrative Instructions; and
WHEREAS, the practice of adjusting mileage reimbursement rates by
Administrative Instruction has rendered Resolution 6161 (CCS) obsolete,

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Resolution Number 6161 (CCS) is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
