RESOLUTION NUMBER 10054 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
SETTING WATER RATES AND FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council may establish, amend or revise from time to time by
resolution the rates and service charges to be charged for supplying water service to
any customer pursuant to Section 7,12.010 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City faces increased costs of providing water service due to
inflation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1,
As of July 1,2005, or as soon thereafter practical, the bi-
monthly fixed service fee for domestic and landscape metered customers is hereby
establishing as follows:

SECTION 4,
Beginning on July 1, 2006, and on July 1 of each fiscal year
thereafter, water rates and/or fees shall be administratively revised in a manner so as to
increase water sales revenue by a factor equal to the difference in the Los Angeles-

Riverside-Orange Consumer Price Index for Wage Earners and Clerical Workers for the
12 month period February through February of the prior fiscal year,
SECTION 5. Resolution Number 9409 (CCS) is hereby repealed as of the
effective date of this resolution,
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution,
and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
