R-10045 RESOLUTION NO. 10045 (CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING USE FEES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS WITHIN THE BAYs/DE DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Bayside District is a location where many public and private groups conduct special events because the area attracts many residents and visitors to the City; and WHEREAS, the effective production of special events requires the involvement of the Bayside District Corporation to coordinate the event among the City, the special events producer, and business and property owners within the Bayside District; and WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 2.72,010 authorizes the imposition of fees and charges for private use of public property; and WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 2.72.020 authorizes setting such fees and charges by resolution; 3 NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: USE FEES FOR SPECIAL EVENTS This Resolution establishes Use Fees for Special Events each calendar day or portion thereof within the Bayside District, to be as follows: $2,000 $1,500 $2,500 $3,000 $3,200 $3,800 SECTION 2: CERTIFICATION The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thence forth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
