RESOLUTION NO. 494 (RAS)
A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING A REPLACEMENT HOUSING PLAN IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
PROPOSED HIGH PLACE EAST PROJECT.
Whereas. the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Monica ("the Agency") will be
considering a proposal from Community Corporation of Santa Monica ("CCSM") to redevelop
certain real property located at 1943 High Place, 1949 High Place, 1955 High Place, 1955 % High
Place, 1959 High Place, 1959 % High Place, and 1959-P High Place.
Whereas, prior to entering into certain agreements for redevelopment, the Agency is
required to adopt a Replacement Housing Plan if the proposed redevelopment project will lead to
the destruction or removal of housing units from the low and moderate income housing market.
Whereas, the Replacement Housing Plan, as attached to the Staff Report dated
October 25,2005, complies with the requirements of Health and Safety Code Section 33413.5.
Whereas, the proposed project site is located outside of the Agency redevelopment project
areas, but pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33334.2(g), the City Council and Agency
have found and determined in Resolutions No. 378, 380, 381 and 444 (RAS), that expenditures
from the Agency's Redevelopment Housing Trust fund for the. purposes of increasing, improving
and preserving the community's supply of the low and moderate income housing located outside
the Agency's redevelopment project areas, but within the boundaries of the City, will be of benefit
to the Agency's redevelopment project areas.
NOW THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Redevelopment Agency hereby approves the Replacement Housing Plan,
as attached to the Staff Report dated October 25, 2005, pertaining to the proposed redevelopment
project at 1943 High Place, 1949 High Place, 1955 High Place, 1955 % High Place, 1959 High
Place, 1959 Y2 High Place, and 1959-P High Place.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
