A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA ADOPTING AMENDED RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CALIFORNIA RELOCATION ASSISTANCE LAW
WHEREAS, California public entities are required to adopt rules and regulations for
implementing payments and administering relocation assistance under the California
Relocation Assistance Law [Govt. Code sections 7260 through 7277) (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, such rules and regulations are required to be in accordance with the
Act and with the Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines
[California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Chapter 6] adopted by the California Department
of Housing and Community Development (the "Guidelines"); and
WHEREAS, the Act and the Guidelines have been amended at various times since
their adoption and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Monica has detennined
that it is in the best interests of the Agency and for the common benefit of residents and
businesses within the City of Santa Monica to adopt new updated rules and regulations to
implement the amended Act and Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have
occurred.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Agency approves and adopts the amended Rules and
Regulations for Implementation of the California Relocation Assistance and Real Property
Acquisition Law in the form attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and incorporated herein by
reference.
SECTION 2. The Agency Executive Director shall certify the adoption of this
Resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 493 (RAS) was duly adopted at
a joint meeting of the Santa Monica City Council and the Redevelopment Agency held
on the 25th day of October, 2005, by the following vote:
