RESOLUTION NUMBER 9963 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING FEES FOR VALET PARKING SPACE
USE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Monica has established valet
parking regulations that allow the operators to use on-street parking spaces for drop off
and pick-up of vehicles in certain locations; and
WHEREAS, Santa Monica Municipal Code Section 6.120.040 requires applicants
for valet operator permits to pay Space Use Fees established by resolution of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council would like these Space Use Fees to be comparable
to hourly use fees for spaces in particular areas of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The valet parking Space Use Fee shall be $1.00 per hour in
parking meter Zone "A."

SECTION 2.The valet parking Space Use Fee shall be $0.75 per hour in all
areas of the City outside of Parking Meter Zone "A."
SECTION 3.The fees specified in this Resolution supplant the Space Use Fee
established by Resolution Number 9622 (CCS). The permit fee established by
Resolution Number 922 (CCS) shall remain in effect.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
