R-9900 CCS:KG:F\ccsadmn\share\resolutionslAirporteirreso.doc City Council Meeting October 14, 2003 Santa Monica, California RESOLUTION NO. 9900 (CeS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE City Council OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON THE AIRPORT PARK PROJECT WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report was issued in September 2000; and WHEREAS, a Notice of Completion of a Draft Environmental Impact Report was published in July 2002, and a Notice of Completion of Recirculation of a Environmental Impact Report was published in May, 2003, in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and the City of Santa Monica CEQA Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the initial Draft Environmental Impact Report was circulated for a 45- day period which ended on September 4, 2001 and the recirculation Draft Environmental Impact Report was circulated for a 45 day period which ended on July 14,2003; and WHEREAS, in October, 2003, the Final Environmental Impact Report was published; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the contents ofthe Final EIR in its decision-making process; and 1 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1 The City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report on the Airport Park Project prior to acting on the project. SECTION 2. The City Council certifies that the environmental review for the project was conducted in full compliance with State and City CEQA Guidelines, that there was adequate public review ofthe initial and recirulated Draft Environmental Impact Report and, that it has considered all comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Report and responses to comments, that the Final Environmental Impact Report adequately discusses all significant environmental issues, that the Final Environmental Impact Report reflects the independent judgment and analysis of the City, and that the City Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report in its decision-making process prior to acting on the project. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
