R-9804 City Council Meeting October 22, 2002 Santa Monica, California RESOLUTION NUMBER 9804 (CCS) (CITY COUNCIL SERIES) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA ESTABLISHING A RECYLED WATER RATE WHEREAS, the City Council may establish, amend or revise from time to time by resolution the rates and service charges to be charged for supplying water service to any customer pursuant to Section 7.12.010 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the City supplies recycled water to certain City and privately- owned facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 The recycled water commodity rate is hereby established to be $1.30 per hundred cubic foot beginning November 1,2002. Bimonthly service charges for recycled water accounts are equal to the potable water rate bimonthly service charges. Section 2. Beginning on Jluly 1, 2003, and on July 1 of each fiscal year thereafter, recycled water rates and/or fees shall be administratively revised in a manner to increase recycled water rates by a factor equal to the difference in the Los Angeles-Riverside-Orange Consumer Price Index for Wage Earners and Clerical Workers for the 12 month period February through February of the prior fiscal year. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
