R-9673 FI N :CM 0: br/f:\finance\budget\obbudrev\O 1 02\finalchg\sradopt. wpd Council Meeting: June 19,2001 Santa Monica, California RESOLUTION NO. 9673 (CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA APPROVING ITS BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2001-02 WHEREAS, the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2001-02 was submitted to the City Council not less than thirty-five (35) days prior to July 1, 2001; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on said budget after a notice of said budget hearing was published not less than ten (10) days prior thereto; and WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council considered further its proposed budget, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECTION The budget as submitted by the City Manager and revised by the City Council, entitled "City of Santa Monica, Proposed Budget, 2001-02 (Budget), is hereby approved and adopted. In adopting the Budget, the City Council intends to, and by this Section does, adopt and approve the total operating appropriation for each departmental and non- - 2 - departmental operating budget, consisting of Salaries and Wages, Supplies and Expenses, and Capital Outlay major expenditure categories, each program category of the Capital Improvements budget, and the revenue detail. The City Manager is authorized to allot by major expenditure category as appropriated. A copy of the Budget is attached hereto as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. In adopting the Budget, the City Council hereby reappropriates the General Fund unencumbered balances and unexpended encumbrances of the fiscal year 2000-01 Capital Improvements Budget in an amount not to exceed $100,129,460. In adopting the budget, the City Council hereby reappropriates the unencumbered balances and unexpended encumbrances of the fiscal year 2000-01 Disaster Relief Fund budget in an amount not to exceed $54,845,688 to be financed from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and State Office of Emergency Services (OES) reimbursements, other revenues, and from City funds allocated to the Disaster Relief Fund, SECTION 4. The budgets of the Housing Authority, Redevelopment Agency, and Parking Authority have been reviewed by the City Council and are hereby approved and adopted - 4 - SECTION 5. The schedule attached hereto as Exhibit B, entitled "Fiscal Year 2001-02 Schedule of Redevelopment Reimbursements to the General and Pier Funds", constitutes indebtedness in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Sections 33670 ET. SEa. of the Project Areas so indicated, and replaces for fiscal year 2001-02, Exhibit 1 to the Reimbursement Agreement entered into between the City's Redevelopment Agency and the City on November 22, 1994. SECTION 6. A certified copy of the Budget shall be filed with the Director of Finance/City Controller and with the Gity Clerk, and certified copies of the Budget shall be reproduced and made available for use as directed by Section 1505 of the Charter of said City. SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
