RESOLUTION NO. 9718 (CCS)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO
ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS OF $350,000 FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW AND
PLANNING FOR 415 PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governorofthe State of California have approved a
grant for the above Project; and
WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the grant, setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and
Recreation require the governing body to certify by resolution that the City has and will
comply with all applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements related to any grants
received; and
WHEREAS, the City will enter into an Agreement with the State of California for the
subject Project(s),
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1 The Santa Monica City Council authorites the ct M8I1JJ"" ..
Negotiate and Execute an Agreement with the state Department of Parks and Recreation
to accept grant funds in the amount of $350,000 from Proposition 12, the Safe
Neighborhood, Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000 for
environmental review and planning for 415 Pacific Coast Highway.
SECTION 2 The City Council of The City of Santa Monica hereby certifies that
the City has and will comply with all applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements
related to these grant funds.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
