A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AND THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE PARKING
AUTHORITY TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR
DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND MAKING AN
AWARD OF THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the Parklng Authorlty owns certalll real
property located at the southwest corner of the lntersectlon of
Broadway and Fourth Streets wlthln the Downtown Redevelopment
ProJect area, WhlCh property lS to be conveyed to the RedevelOp-
ment Agency for redevelopment purposes pursuant to the Redevelop-
ment Plan for sald ProJect; and
WHEREAS, certaln lmprovements located on sald property
must be demollshed as a part of the lmplementatlon of sald
Redevelopment ProJect; and
WHEREAS, the Parklng Authorlty has recelved bids for
such demolltlon work In the manner requlred by law; and
WHEREAS, a permlt has been lssued for such work
pursuant to the Callfornla Coastal Zone Conservatlon Act of 1972;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parklng Authorlty and the Redevelop-
ment Agency of the Clty of Santa Monlca do hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1.
The Redevelopment Agency hereby
requests and authorlzes the Parklng Authorlty to duly award
a contract for the demolltlon of certaln lmprovements located
on property owned by the Parking Authorlty located at the south-
west corner of the lntersectlon of Broadway and Fourth Streets
wlthln the Downtown Redevelopment Project area, pursuant to

sa1d Redevelopment Plan and Coastal Act permlt.
SECTION 2.
The Park1ng Author1ty agrees to let
a contract for the demol1t1on of sa1d property to the lowest
respons1ble b1dder.
SECTION 3.

subm1tted a b1d to the Park1ng Author1ty 1n the amount of

which 1S the lowest and best b1d.
SECTION 4. A contract 15 hereby awarded to
Alexander Land Clearin.!=!. Inc. for demol1t1on of sald property
1n accordance with the spec1f1cat1ons 1n Not1ce Inv1t1ng B1ds
for the sum of

SECTION 5.
The Secretary of the Park1ng Author1ty
shall cert1fy to the adopt1on of th1S resolut1on, and thence-
forth and thereafter the same shall be 1D full force and effect.
SECTION 6.
The Secretary of the Redevelopment
Agency shall cert1fy to the adopt1on of th1s resolut1on, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be 1n full force and
effect.
