A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR 95
HOUSING ASSISTANCE VOUCHERS AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO SIGN SAID APPLICATION AND TO EXECUTE THE ANNUAL
CONTRIBUTION CONTRACT IF THE APPLICATION IS APPROVED.
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is
currently accepting applications from Public Housing Agencies for
Section 8 Existing Housing Vouchers; and
WHEREAS, this Authority proposes to apply for a total of 95
additional Section 8 Existing Housing Vouchers which is justified
by the application waiting list and consistent with Housing
Assistance Plans for our area of operation;
NOW THEREFORE, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The approval of the SUbmission of an application
for 95 additional Section 8 Existing Housing Vouchers with an
annual contract authority of up to $715,635;
SECTION 2. The Executive Director shall be authorized to sign
said application on behalf of the Authority and to execute the
annual contribution contract if the application is approved;
SECTION 3. The secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
