A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR 20
HOUSING ASSISTANCE CERTIFICATES AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO SIGN SAID APPLICATION AND TO EXECUTE THE ANNUAL
CONTRIBUTION CONTRACT IF THE APPLICATION IS APPROVED
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is
currently accepting applications from Public Housing Agencies for
Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates, and
WHEREAS, the city of Santa Monica Housing Authority proposes
to apply for a total of 20 additional Section 8 Existing Housing
Certificates which is justified by the application waiting list and
is consistent with Housing Assistance Plans for our area of
operation,
NOW THEREFORE, THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
MONICA RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates with an
annual contract authority of up to $156,000 is hereby apporoved.
SECTION 2. The Executive Director is authorized to submit an
application on behalf of the City of Santa Monica Housing Authority
and to execute the annual contribution contract if the application
is approved for an additional 20 section 8 Existing Housing
Certificates.
SECTION 3. The Secretary shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
