RESOLUTION NO. 43 (HAS)
(Rousing Authority series)
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
REQUIRING BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APPROVAL FOR ANY SECTION 8
OPERATING RESERVES EXPENDED FOR OTHER HOUSING RELATED ACTIVITIES
OTHER THAN DIRECT ADMINISTRATION OF THE SECTION 8 PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the United states Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) requires that the Housing Authority board set
a threshold for any expenditures from the Section 8 operating
reserves for housing related expenses other than the direct
administration of the Section 8 program; and
WHEREAS, HUD requires that the Santa Monica Housing Authority
revise its administrative plan to reflect this threshold,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE HOUSING ACTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Housing Authority will not expend any funds for
housing related activities other than the direct administration of
the section 8 program without prior approval of any and all
expenses by the Hous~ng Authority Board of Commissioners.
Section 2. The Heusing Authority Secretary shall certify to the
adoptlon of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
