RESOLUT rON NO. 5
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE TIME
AND THE PLACE OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
WHEREAS, Sect i on 2 of Art i c I e III of the by 1 aI-iS of the Hous i ng
Authority of the City of Santa Monica provides that regular meetings may be
held without notice at such time and place as may be determined by resolution
of the Authority; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOJSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA;
That until otherwise provided by resolution, the Commissioners of the
Housing Authority of the City of Santa Monica, shall hold regular meetings
at

fourth Monday of every month
f . M., on the
at the office of the Authority.
After discussion of the resolution, Commissioner
Stone
moved that said resolution be finally adopted as introduced and read. The
motion was seconded by Commissioner
Rinck
The question
being put upon the final adoption of said resolution, the roll was called With

The Chairman announced that It WilS in order to elect the officers of the
Authority to serve until the next annual meeting and until their successors
were chosen and qualified In their stead.
Commiss loner
Condon
were placed in nomination for the office of Vice Chairman. There appearing
to be no other nominations, the Chairmiln announced that a vote would be in
order. A vote being taken it was found that Commlssio~er
Condon
had received a majority of the votes cast and thereupon the Chairman declared
that said Commissioner had been duly elected to the office of Vice Chairman
or the Authority.

it being determined that the office or Secretary should not be permanently
filled for the present, *it was decided to appoint the C,ty Staff per~on assigned
to tne Authority to serve as Secretary in a temporary capacity, without
compensation other than for necessary expenses.
Thereupon, it was moved by Commissioner
Stone
that
Martha Br~~n Hicks
be appointed to the office of Temporary
Secretary, to serve as such, without compensation other than ror necessary
expenses, until a permanent appointment had been made. The motion was seconded
by Commissioner
Rinck
and thereupon the Chairman put the quesclon
on the adoption of the motion. A vote being taken, it was Tound that said
motion had received the arfirmative vote or a majority of the Commissioners,
and thereupon the Chairman declared the same duly adopted and Martna Brown HiCks,
City Staff person. appointed to the office of Temporary Secretary or the
Author i ty .
